After graduating from Grahm I went on to attend forestry school (Paul Smith's College) in Saranac Lake, NY. I worked for the NYS Dept of Conservation for a few years but was always hired under temporary employment. That finally ended and I took a job as a caretaker/hunting& fishing guide on a private island in Lake Ontario owned by Phillip Petroleum. This was a great job buy required me to stay on the island 5 days at a time. This finally got old so I looked for other work. I started my own electrical contracting company in the late 80's, and did this for many years. Photography was always a hobby and was becoming a second job. Finally the photograhy became my main profession and the electrical work my second job.
I was married in 1980 and have 3 children. My oldest son pledged a fraternity last year and his stories of pledging and life in the frat house brought back many pleasant memories. Perhaps this is what prompted me to try to connect with long lost brothers.
In 1999 my wife and I purchased an old historic home that had been renovated into a restaurant/ banquet facility. It had gone bankrupt and closed for several years. We turned this into our home and photography studio and host events here, mainly weddings. You can check out our website at www.manorhouse1.com
Life is good - can't complain. Two of my kids are attending college and my youngest is in 9th grade. Just celebrated my 25th wedding aniversary. Don't expect I will ever retire, but being self employed I am able to control how much or little I will work.
